What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing, originating in Japan, that supports relaxation, stress relief, and overall wellbeing. Often described as a calming and restorative treatment, it helps regulate the nervous system and bring the body back into balance.

What are the benefits of Reiki?

Reiki can support your overall sense of wellbeing, helping you to slow down, reset, and reconnect.

It may help with:

How does remote Reiki work?

Remote Reiki works in the same way as an in-person session, but from the comfort of your own space.

Many clients choose it because it:

  • Allows for deeper relaxation in your private space at home

  • Removes the need to travel

  • Offers flexibility around busy schedules

  • Can be more accessible and inclusive

It’s ideal if you’re short on time, feeling overwhelmed, or simply want a quieter, more personal experience.

Why offer Reiki with guided meditation?

Combining guided meditation with Reiki helps you drop into a deeper state of relaxation more quickly, allowing both body and mind to soften at the start of the session.

The guidance is gentle and focused, helping to quieten mental noise so you can be more open and receptive to the Reiki. It creates a more immersive experience, particularly if you find it difficult to switch off or your mind tends to stay busy.

What happens during a session?

During your session, you’ll remain fully clothed and either lie down or sit comfortably. For in-person sessions, hands are placed on or just above the body, depending on your preference.

What does Reiki feel like?

Clients often experience:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Warmth or subtle tingling

  • A sense of emotional release or clarity

Some people simply feel calm and rested, with no distinct physical sensation - every experience is different. After your session, you may feel more grounded, lighter, and at ease.

Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?

No belief is required. You’re welcome to come exactly as you are - whether you’re curious, sceptical, or simply in need of rest
